I will attempt to review this apparently rare one on my own, and I'm no reviewer, so bear with me. This was canned on... March 15, 2021, I believe? The date is hard to make out. Best by is 8/14/21, as far as I can tell. This is a pint poured into a snifter. It was handed out to those who gave money to the brewery's StartEngine campaign. I'm a little late to cracking this pint, but I did have a taster of it during the party on a very cold day in the past.
Look - A deep amber-brown with a very short head that fades quickly.
Smell - It smells like malts and alcohol. I think there is the balancing hint of fruit and cherry there.
Taste - I enjoyed it more than I did the first time I tasted it while half-frozen. There is a solid cherry current, but the alcohol is also prominent and warming. The cherry isn't overwhelming, though. It's quite balanced.
Feel - It's not too heavy, rather moderate and yet the alcohol creeps up on you. The bitterness isn't over-present. Mid-carbonation and smoother than expected.
It was enjoyable. Not sure why I waited so long - not super familiar with quads, and not sure if this beer will ever exist again.
