A full bodied, amber-colored ale, brewed with real pumpkin purée and spices, that comes in at a monster 8.5% ABV! Soft caramel sweetness up front fades into a sturdy malt back bone and finishes with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of ginger.

I am pretty tough on pumpkin brews. Too much spice or not enough body and I'm unhappy. This one left me happy.

It pours medium reddish brown without a lot of head. The aroma is subdued - mildly hoppy and spiced. The taste is right where I wanted it - brown ale with some spice and some pumpkin, I presume. It is drinkable, unlike some more heavily spiced brews.

Recommended. This is a pumpkin brew winner.

Carmelley (is that a word) look, hardly a bubble. Aroma of pumpkin and spices, these things belong in pies, not beer.

12 ounce can, best by 01/28/24 stamped on the bottom of the can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy burnt orange/copper color with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and a bit of pumpkin. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some caramel noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this one overall, think it's a good pumpkin ale. Worth trying especially if you like pumpkin brews!

12 FL OZ can
Served in a perfect pint glass

This beer pours copper with burnt orange highlights and has a slight haze to it. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves decent lacing.

All the standard spiced are there, clove, nutmeg, ginger.

It tastes like your average pumpkin beer. A standard ale spiced with clove, nutmeg, and ginger.

Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel

Standard pumpkin ale with above average abv.

Definitely into this, has a good feel and goes down pretty easy but still not as good as some. Desired flavors are all there but just not enough for me to be like "wow!"

A thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a burnt orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pumpkin, light spices. Taste is the same as the aroma, light alcohol is present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

From a 12 oz. can, a nice orange-amber hue with ample pumpkin mash fills the glass. A two inch off white emerges, and fades to just lacing in a few minutes. the nose is faint, but proper.. cinnamon, with ginger and nutmeg, over a milder pumpkin scent. The taste is quite good.. with a fine, rounded mouth feel. The pumpkin mash is the star, with the fall spices over a malty ale. Only a slight caramel burn in the aftertaste prevents this from being an exquisite pumpkin beer, but it is not enough to spoil the overall impression.. Saucy Brew Works 'Boo Thang' is is one damn good pumpkin ale!

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a glowing amber with a little haze; fluffy light khaki head that falls leaving nice retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malt forward along with some pumpkin spices. Some caramel as well. Overall it kind of smells like pumpkin bread. The flavors basically follow the nose. Lots of spices leading the way, but they're not overwhelming or a turn off. Some banana coming through. Cinnamon and allspice are there. Hints of anise and black pepper in the mix. Subtle spiciness. More caramel. Malts do their thing. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth and slightly creamy.

This is an alright pumpkin ale. It's not one of my new personal favorites, but it's not bad or anything like that. It has everything that you'd look for in the style, more or less.
