L: Had this beer on-tap at Third Street Brewing Company, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a hazy consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, fairly long-lasting head. Great lacing.
S: An interesting aroma of citrus fruit, a funky quality, malt, and some spices.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of malt (present throughout), a fair amount of citrus (the eponymous clementines), light spices (pepper, in particular), and a tinge of the yeasty, barnyard funk. The flavor's not quite as funky as most saisons, but it does have an interesting character. The clementines make a dynamic component.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This isn't a classic saison, but it makes for a worthwhile beer. Worth a try.
