L: Had this beer on-tap at Third Street, poured into a snifter glass. Had a bright, golden yellow color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.
S: A slightly odd (for a saison) aroma of citrus fruit, a grainy quality, barnyard funk, spices, and malt.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of the grainy quality (a strange sensation), some light spices (pepper), a bit of malt (present throughout), a little citrus fruit (orange, lemon), and some of the funky Belgian-style yeast. Like the aroma, the taste was a bit odd. It seemed to emphasize some ingredients (the grain) over more interesting ones (the citrus). Not bad though.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Light-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has some interesting qualities. Worth a look.
