Two housekeeping items. First, Hedonis is the contract brewer; but the relationship seems to be closer than a contract brew. We shall see how long BBB continues. Hedonis has a large modern plant; lots of shiny vessels and capital involved. But, I give good Overall Hugs for this inventive arrangement.
Second, Julia really strikes me as a Belgian Blond, mostly because of the yeast. While Julia uses two American hops and they penetrate a bit like American pales, Julia's yeast and mouth is Belgian. But with me as the first review in nine years, I see no point in fussing about style. And the argument could never end if I were to say this reminded me of a Belgian IPA. So to get to the end of styling this ale with a limited future, I do rate Julia relative to Belgian Blonds, not Americans.
Julia Smells (not enough fruit) and Tastes (too hoppy) only slightly above the average Belgian Blond. Better in Looks and Feel. A Sante' !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
