Large four-finger head which recedes in a lumpy fashion. Some streaks as it descends. The clear liquid is similar to copper.
A malty nose with just a touch of raw barley in the mix. Mostly caramel and biscuit. The little hop coming through is floral.
Very much of the British style of pale ales with a lot of richer caramel and some light toast. The bittering hop comes through more pronounced than the smell. Balanced aftertaste. Overall, I'd liken this beer to an English Bitter.

330 ml can, as Svalbard Spitsbergen Pale Ale, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of fruity and floral hops, also notes of caramel. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour, only a hint of caramel, medium bitter hops, but not so much hop flavour besides the bitterness. Still quite refreshing and okay to drink.
