In 2009, Robert and Anne Greta Johansen came up with the wild idea of starting a brewery in Longyearbyen. It took 6 years to change Svalbard’s alcohol law, and on the 7th of August 2015 the world’s Northermost brewery finally opened. Today the beer is enjoyed by explorers from all over the world.
