We created a series of beer called Gruve 3 to honor the mining community in Longyearbyen. The beers are named after work titled and known persons.
This beer is dedicated to Robert Hermansen, a Norwegian industrial leader.
Robert Hermansen was a popular leader, and he was given the nickname "Røde Robert" based on his political views and his red hair.
In the period 1999-2008 he was managing director of Store Norske Spitsbergen Kullkompani at Svalbard.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, old jam, hints of nuts. Malty, rich and fairly sweet flavour with the same elements, notes of burnt breadcrumbs, roasted nuts and moderate bittering hops. Hints of oak and bourbon.
