This is an unfiltered, dry-hopped lager that pours slightly cloudy. It is amber colored with a thick, creamy head. The carbonation is modest. It has a nice hoppy nose but is soft and creamy on the palate. Nice hints of bitterness, but not enough to make me think of an IPL! The bitterness is softer and more hesitant than expected. Floral hops are evident, though. The slight bitterness and the floral hops linger nicely. Good malt as well. Beautiful lace is formed. It has a medium, creamy, body. As I empty the glass, the bitterness is catching up with me. It is delicious and easy to drink. I would seek this out again. BA lists as American Pale Lager which is more accurate than what the label suggests, viz., India Pale Lager.

This is a pretty good beer. Although this is a lager, they seem to have used the hops in just the right way, creating a bottom-fermenting india pale. Nice smell of flowers and citric which continues in the initial taste. Aftertaste is pleasantly bitter. Being a lager, any taste complexity due to esters is missing, but it's all about the hops in this brew.

Golden, slightly hazy (yeast).
Aroma: Flowery, a little bready, some diacetyl? Lacks fresh hoppy / lager aroma.
Taste: pleaseantly bitter, sweetish. Could be dryer to be more drinkable / refreshing.
Mouthfeel: a little sticky. Low carbonation.

Overall: pleasant beer, but there is plenty room for improvement.

Appearance – Golden coloured with a lot of cloudy veins in the glass. Dense foam that quickly dissipate leaving thin cover on top and lacing on the glass.

Smell – The smell of yeast was obvious when the bottle was opened to the point where it smelt like the back room of a bakery but as this was a biological unfiltered beer that was to be expected.

Taste – Reasonably smooth there is a slight hint of bitter hops but this does not linger heavily even though there is an after taste on the back of the tongue, which can be hard to detect depending on what you have eaten beforehand. The hop is very much the dominate flavour here but it is nice and not over powering

Mouthfeel – Slightly sharp and a little dry.

Overall – This is a good beer and I will seek it out again. Less fruity than I expect in an IPA but as it is Dutch and their brew style is very different than ours in the north of Ireland it does not faze me in the least. I regularly enjoy this when visiting the In-Laws in The Netherlands.

A: golden-tan, with haze. thin, but dense foam disspiates, but leaves a very thin cover on top and lacing on the glass
S: apricot, pear, orange, dankness
T: upfront hop bitterness (not too bad), herbal note from late/dry hopping, caramel backbone, which is in a good support for such hop-forward beer
M: some chewiness/sweetness from the caramel malt, but not too cloying. good balance with the bitterness.
O: solid west-coast IPA style in the Netherlands! This has become my go-to-beer for satisfying my humulone cravings in this country :)
