Pours clear but very dark brown. An extremely soft two-fingered head retains superbly. Excellent lacing.
Aromas of dark coffee and chocolate with hints of cashew, hazelnut, and vanilla. The coffee aroma has a true brewed quality.
Caramel malt and vanilla melds with solid dark coffee notes on the tongue. This isn't a coffee throwaway--the coffee flavor tastes like fresh brewed coffee. Earthy hops at the finish.
Medium bodied. Well carbonated, but creamy and smooth. Drying at the finish.
One of the best coffee aromas ever in a beer for me. The flavor is darn close. Nicely done.

This beer pours a rather dark brown with a large head. The aroma features nice dark coffee, with milk chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla. The flavor starts with a big hit of milk chocolate and sweetish coffee, followed by drier coffee, cocoa powder, roast almond, and vanilla. The mouthfeel burst in bold and foamy, but finishes rather more subtle and dry. Overall a really nice coffee beer, with a solid brown ale base. Nothing complex here, but very tasty.
