This beer pours a pale gold with an average head. The aroma features heavy biscuit malts, with a touch of sweet corn, and some cereal grains. The flavor is lead by sweet and pleasant malts, lots of biscuit flavors, and a hint of cashew, oatmeal, brand flakes, and corn - no hop flavors present, malt is the start. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with some voluptuousness upfront, and a drier finish, although never crisp, always suffused with a distinct creaminess. Overall a very well executed golden ale where the malts are the star - no intrusive hop based flavors, but also no attempt to either lighten or sweet the beer to much for easy pleasure. Not my usual style, but extremely well done.
