Poured from a pint can into a large mug, with thanks to my son-in-law in northern Minnesota for gifting me this pint!
Look: A pretty beer: Reddish gold, with a huge gold-white head — so huge it required multiple pours to empty the can — and left adequate lacing.
Nose: A little cracker, a little caramel — not much more.
Mouthfeel: Medium — perfect for style — and appropriate carbonation.
Attack: Follows the nose, only with more depth of flavor.
Finish: Some hop bitterness to balance.
Overall: This is a very drinkable ale, and at 5% ABV easily a session ale. It’s just about perfect for a not-too-heavy end-of-workday beer on this warm spring afternoon. Nice job, Half Brothers!
