Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from a 16.9 oz. bottle into a Cigar City goblet.
A: Turbid yeasty gold, with a thin white head that fades quickly and a low level of visible carbonation.
S: Mango, pineapple, some lactic tartness and touch of funk. Nice, though not overwhelming.
T: Musty and tropical fruit - mango and stale passionfruit. A touch of farmhouse funk, and less lactic tartness than expected and/or suggested by the nose. Biscuit malts add some sweetness. There’s a vague spiciness - maybe from the spruce, although it doesn’t seem piney; more reminiscent of light cardamom and allspice. It doesn’t come across as a full-blown Christmas beer, but close. The finish has some dry lactic tartness finally showing up along with a savory salinity.
M: Relatively heavy body for a gose. Carbonation sensation is on the low side, and has a very low alcohol presence.
O: Not an unpleasant beer, but it doesn’t seem real gose-y. More of a gose meets saison meets fruit juice. Nothing I’d be thrilled to drink again.

Aroma is mangoes//tropical fruit, slight sweetness and a musty hint. The flavor is mangoes/fruit juice, malts and a medium sweet/tart/very slightly sugary finish.

One of the more interesting brews I've tried recently.
Pours thick and murky, with a gruel-like dark mango color. Like a mango-nectar-wheat-beer-smoothie.
Aromas are fruity, but not overbearing. The mango comes through nicely, with hints of peach and nectarine. Juicy and snappy. Faint whiffs of wheat grain and bread dough amid a mild acetic-lactic backdrop.
Palette is beautiful. Bright fruit, crisp tartness, and subtle floral notes. The spruce is in there, but it's not abundant... it's thoroughly integrated and hard to pick out from the crowd, but offers a freshness that underscores the mild tartness. Not overly sour.
The thickest gose I've ever had. Huge, tongue coating body. Like a mango lassi.
Overall, love this brew and hope they will continue to make it.

Decided to serve this in a rocks glass on a hot summers' night. Eau De Janeiro pours the color of peach-infused OJ and the density of the same. Head is small and diminishes quick. 80% opaque.
Faint aromas of apricots, peaches, and dusty candy pineapple rings. Some pale malts as well.
The flavor is reminiscent of an orange juilus, but in this case the ice has melted and it's become more of a drinker than a slurper. A bit of apricot and mango. No retaining flavor, no aftertaste, it's there as soon as it's gone and it's faint to start with. The spruce tips may have been used in the recipe but it's totally non existent in the flavor.
Feel is nice and creamy on this hot night with citronella torches burning.
Overall this Gose is not bad, but it's not particularly a stand out example of the style or even worth a mention in a beer circle. Just another one you can pass by on your way to some more decent brews down the aisle.

Looks absolutely ridiculous. It's like pure mango juice. Extremely viscous, mango color body with orange juice colored head. Aroma is also amazing: mango, carrot juice and fresh pumpkin flesh. Taste starts tart up-front with all the fruits from the aroma present in the taste. Aftertaste is pure mango and leaves the mouth dry. You can definitely tell it's natural fruit and not artificial flavor. Body is really heavy and viscous with soft carbonation. Overall it's very enjoyable but it's more like a slightly alcoholic fruit juice than a beer.

I really wanted to like this but it just came across as strangely thick. Completely opaque orange pour which seems to follow through to a thick mouthfeel. Good mango flavour but not the refreshing fruit Gose I was expecting.
