This is the best hefe brewed in North America
I normally drink hefe from these brands
Paulaner
Franziskaner
Weihenstephaner
I would put it up against these any day

On tap at the source in a flight.
Hazy bright yellow with a good sized rocky white head that persists.
Light clove and a healthy amount of banana and homey like maltiness. Pretty nice hefe!

a tasty hefe in here, but really super light, almost to a fault. its frosted pale washed out yellow looking in the glass, but holds a thick rich white head pretty well, lots of frantic carbonation is visible, and it looks light and attractive and refreshing. it smells quite traditional and balanced between the pale wheat malt and the estery german yeast. green banana, light clove and nutmeg, and lemon zest, even vanilla bean notes arise in the yeast, but its not fermented too warm or taking over or anything, and thats true in the flavor is well. for me the critique of this one is not at all with the flavor or the execution but in the texture, this needs some body from the wheat and it really doesnt have any, so it feels watery even though the carbonation is excellent. i like my hefeweizen to feel frothy and substantial, its a hallmark of all the good ones, and while this lightness may be intentional for the hot florida weather, to me its not a good choice for these flavors. otherwise an excellent take on the style, traditional and well made.
