Half pour at the brewery.
Lightly hazy medium brown in color with a small off white head that persists. Light toasty caramel maltiness with hints of banana and clove. Pretty nice beer.

for my money, this is the best beer happening in this place right now, a really traditionally fashioned dark wheat ale, deep caramel to light brown in color and nice and lively in the glass. its the same yeast as their hefe with underripe banana and wintery spice notes along with a flash of citrus, estery but under control at the same time. here the yeast is married beautifully with this darker wheat malt base, toasted biscuit, almond, and bran notes to it, a little molasses or maple sort of sweetness in the middle, but dry by the finish. a faint soapy note towards the end is the only real question mark for me, but this is well made german styled beer that drinks nice and easy. unlike their hefe, there is a bit of body to this one which really gives it some richness without making it sugary, its just hearty, and its nice, still light enough for florida weather sessioning though, very well proportioned there. some pretty solid beers in this place, and we had a great time here, this was my personal favorite.
