Presentation: Draft at El Tap in San Juan, Puerto Rico on the 08/11/18 release date. Served in a pint glass.
Appearance: It develops a two finger white head that sticks around for a while. The lacing wraps around the whole glass beautifully. It has a very pleasant, crystal clear, light gold color.
Smell: A musky, piney, fruity hop scent is dominant, with some grain undertones. It's not big on the aroma department but pleasant overall.
Taste: Very balanced, mainly with some big fruity pineapple and citrus notes but with a grainy character to it as well. It leans more towards the bitter hoppy side but it's not overpowering.
Mouthfeel: The best characteristic of this beer hands down. Enough body to be satisfying but light enough to feel crisp, refreshing and palate cleansing with just the right amount of carbonation.
Overall: Puerto Rico's first collaboration with a "big name" brewery like Stone is a success, plain and simple. While a bigger hoppy kick from a beer with the Stone name attached to it would have been welcome (especially on the nose), the end result is still great. The taste is well-balanced and the perfectly executed mouthfeel make this a joy to drink.
