Poured from 16oz can that I picked up at the brewery into my BeerAdvocate teku. This is brewed with hibiscus, rose hips, and Himalayan pink salt.
Appearance: a nice amber-red hue with a clear body and a thin finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: the aroma is quite pungent; very earthy with a rich floral aroma that is almost dense enough to be off-putting .... but not quite!
Taste: I think that pungency is a function of the light sourness of the gose combined with the very earthy hibiscus. It's a really interesting flavor, not sure one I've had before in a gose. Underneath the flowers, though, is a lightly tart, very lightly salty, and slightly wheaty character that is unmistakably gose. I dig it!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and actually a pretty good texture that is somewhere between creamy and fizzy. I like it in this beer.
Overall: a very weird beer that is nonetheless solid.
