Appearance: Poured with two fingers of head that left behind good lacing but sadly didn't stick around as much as I would like. The body is a opaque light peach color.
Smell: A faint whiff of peach, citrus and ginger in fairly strong balance. Warming didn't really bring it out very much and the potency just isn't there, but it's nice.
Taste: I'm not normally a fan of peaches, but I like it here as it's subtle and it doesn't drown anything out. Starts with mild citrus and wheat malt that moves into the peach, ginger and the mildest of tea tastes which assert themselves a bit more during the final citrus hop snap.
Mouthfeel: I'm not the biggest fan of try dry tea and ginger aftertaste the beer has going on, the carbonation also seems to peter out near the end. Still good transitioning of flavors and some interesting frothiness at the start of the beer.
Drinkability: Very light bodied and settles down exceptionally well and is very easy to drink. The dry aftertaste is a bit of a bummer, but if it wasn't there I think the beer would come across as simply too delicate. As stated before, just that hint of peach really ties the experience together, and I honestly wonder if a light on raspberry version would do the same.
Final Thoughts: This strikes me as a great alternative to sugarless sweet tea in the late spring and early, summer, which is strange since I don't particularly care for iced tea without sugar. It's a bit too intricate to be a summer guzzler and doesn't quite refresh enough for the sweltering heat, but regardless of that, still an interesting offering.
