Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was thick pale orange milky color with a settling little white half finger's worth of white foamy head. Dissipated slowly to leave some mild lace running with the sips of the beer.
The aroma had a wonderful blend of citrus, grass, hop spice, touch of onion, earth, light melon and a keen bit of danky/damp glistening sweet wood.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the entire blend of the aroma and ends up providing a light hop spice boasting of itself with an edge of cream in the aftertaste. The oats come out heavily to add to the flavor.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair amount of sessionability to it. Carbonation felt low and good. ABV felt fine. Super smooth unyieldingly creamy finish made this feel not even like beer.
Overall, the aroma and flavor were spot on stellar, however, I think Ben may have overly "oated" this one as the creamy smooth quality seems to push out any sort of bitterness and even pushes against the "juicy" content. I liked this one for me but can see a ton of people not liking this, especially the feel.
