Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a glossy yellow color with a sly transparency about it. Mild small cap of a little white head slid off without any lace.
The aroma had some sweet white bread and grassy hop tones biting at some light dried citrus peel. Mild hop spice on the very end.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of white bread, grassiness and a little bit of dried citrus peel. Mild hop spice seemed barely there. Dried grassy to white bready sort of aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Finish was fairly smooth and crisp speaking with the grassy hops and smoothing capabilities of the white bread.
Overall, it's a Pilsener and a very nicely brewed high quality one, but almost leans abut German with some of the study sweet character to it. Wouldn't mind adding some Saaz hops to enliven some 'hop spice' to make it seem more of a Czech pilsner.
