Can to tulip.
The appearance was a moderately hazy/cloudy burnt yellow to orange color with a small cap of a little white foamy head softly falling off into small valleys of white foamy head. Concave lace slid with the sips.
The aroma takes on an absolutely amazing blend of freshly cleaned laundry, pine needles, citrus pith, orange rind bitterness, a touch of orange zest and a quaint little bit of bread crust on the back end, so clean. Slight bit of perfume.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side initially but developed a keen blend of sweet orange and bitter pine, once again extremely fresh and clean. Mild aftertaste of sweet orange, pine, perfumey floral hop bitterness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with some stickiness. Some sessionability about it. Nice low carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Finish was clean, sticky and piney bitter with some orange peel and grapefruit.
Overall, very nice as an imperial IPA that could be construed as a New England styled one, maybe. Still, it's definitely one to come back to. Absolutely fabulous job, Josh!
