Poured from a growler (filled 29Dec2021) into a stemless glass
L: pours a darker orange yellow, bit of reddish brown, with a moderate, dense white head that fades after a couple minutes. Nice ring of foam left around the edge once it does - good lacing left with each sip
S: tons of rich tropical fruit - manages to be rather bright with a bit of danker undertone to it. Get crushed pineapple, mango gummy rings, orange slices on the fruit front. A little bit of pine, adds a tease of bitterness that cuts through the fruit-sweet aroma
T: follows the nose so well, man this is just juice in a glass. Huge mix of topical fruit - that crushed pineapple, candy mango character, freshly pressed orange juice. That slight bit of bitterness suggested by the nose comes through toward the middle and into the finish - it’s slightly piney, mostly citrusy, overall nicely balanced and more of a tease. If splitting hairs I’d like it to be a bit more present, but overall excellent
F: medium carbonation, medium mouthfeel. Nice and full but not overly creamy. Slightest bit drying
O: so, so good - juice in a glass. The nose suggests a really refreshing fruit-forward swallow with a bit of bitterness and complexity, and the swallow delivers. Always feel rewarded by a trip to Obercreek!
