Künstler Brewing "Verklemmt"
on tap at the brewery on 28 March 2018
Notes: Listed at 5.7% ABV. Clear golden body beneath a short head of densely foamy bright white. Better than average head retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy/grassy Pilsner malt with floral, grassy, and mildly spicy hops. The flavor follows. A firm bitterness balances it and dries it. Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation that leaves it soft and smooth. Is this the same as their Edelweisse Pils but with slightly different hops? I think so. It might be slightly less bitter but it's really close. Regardless, it's a great beer.

At the brewery. A superb version of a Czech Pilsner, with that unique bite and finish you expect to differentiate it from the German Pils. A bit more dry and hoppy versus ze German style, with that same delicious malt bill. Body and drinkability are top notch.
