a gose with cherries in it, and a beer i would have liked a whole lot more if i did not have it right next to the blackberry edition, which really was incredible, so this sort of paled in comparison. the color is only lightly pink from the fruit, the beer has better clarity and less apparent density than the blackberry one, short thin head on it. it smells clean, the souring is done right, no weird esters or off flavors to it, no funk at all, very german on the malts with the lemony acidity, its pleasing, refreshing, and quite traditional, i think it would be solid even without the fruit. the cherry is subtle in intensity compared to the blackberry in that one, but its natural and doesnt linger in the finish, a light medicinal element to it, nice with the citrus essence the lacto provides, and a neat accent flavor, almost has a cocktail vibe to me. carbonation is a little light, but so is the body, and the minerals and saltiness here make it finish fast. a nice fruited gose overall because its gose first and fruit second. an easy drinker in warm weather and not too sour to be consumed in high volume!
