The intention was to build a Lager from the ground up (think Helles, or Festbier) that would accept a higher level of hopping, in the form of loads of old school and new school hop varieties. Then to tuck it into cold storage for six weeks (also called: to lager), and to wait patiently. The final result is a "Crispy Boi" with magnificent hop aroma, clean assertive bitterness, and a bold clean finish that makes you crave another sip.
Hopped with German Grüngeist hops, for their old world floral aroma and flavors of peach and passion fruit. Hallertau Mittelfrüh (spicy, herbal), and Azacca (mango and citrus).
In retrospect, waiting for six weeks was painful, but that is about as long as it took me to formulate the above explanation.
