Taster at WVBC. Clear, bright golden, small head, rings of lacing. No aroma, but saved by taste. Crisp and clean, nice hoppy snap. Could use a bit more grain notes. Weak start, finished stronger.

Damn near perfect pilsner. Compared to some of the other ones I've had lately. Deep bitterness that finishes nicely. Poured on tap at Skep & Skein in Oly.

i am not sure if they dropped the 253 from the name, or in fact have crafted a new pils in here that should be added here to BA, but i assume they just took the numbers out, as the abv is the same, but im pretty sure it was just called pilsner when i had it at the tacoma brewery last weekend. if its the same beer, its the best of the three i had in here. the cleanest, definitely the most refined, and just super bright and drinkable, i wished i had gotten this one with our oysters instead of the fresh hop, this seems built for that kind of cuisine, a really solid and professionally done lager overall here. beautiful round golden hue, high shine, average white head. it smells and taste a little biscuity, just a half step richer on the malt side than is common in the style, but its never sweet or toasted or anything, still clean and light, minerals from the water abound here, grounding this nicely, and its never hoppy but has some snappy bitter pop to the finish that, with the european lager yeast, help this finish quick. this is a really good pils, but its unique a little bit too, and for me what makes it unique is the mineral profile, this is deeply earthy even beyond the grain, and i love it being sort of heartier from it, subtle but memorable. i like the high carbonation too, the clean finish, and the fact i could sit here all day and drink ten of them. the best beer we had in here hands down. if 253 is still a thing and they now work with multiple pils types, someone let me know, but reviewing it here for now, which i think is correct...

If you had a choice between this and a Bud Light, I’d probably choose the Bud Light. Not good, but less disappointing.

Tasted in a pint glass from draft at the 7 Seas Brewery and Taproom on July 31, 2018. This NW Pilsner pays homage to those local brewers who came long before us, a shout-out to our home, the 253. Our NW spin on a classic pilsner-style lager. Brewed with NW Pale and Pilsner malt, hopped with Sterling and Cascade, this brew is 100% Washington. An extremely refreshing, dry, and crisp authentic Pilsner with that classic mineral, cracker like finish.
