Pours a clear amber with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Aromatic with all kinds of fruit and citrus. Sudsy and sturdy in the mouth. Taste is bitter lemon dialed up and hot with alcohol. Some flavors of peach apricot jam. Also grapefruit in the finish and a long bitter aftertaste. Even with the 7.7% alcohol this is overly flavored up. Twelve ounces of this seems daunting; the stovepipe would be a major challenge unless you could nurse it through a long movie with something soothing to eat. Dated 06/11/25.
