Attractive orangey-amber color with abundant foam in the goblet. Aromatic with pine and grapefruit. Some malty sweetness that is quite pleasant. This is plenty hopped-up but not terribly bitter. The fresh hop flavor is resiny with citrus peel, along with hints of mango and some green stuff. I would not want big gulps of this but it's certainly flavorful for sipping. I'll look for it fresher this fall. From the 12 oz can purchased at Mt. Vernon Co-op Market. Dated 09/17/24.

Pours a dark amber/orange with a good head and an aroma of pine. It has a slight sweetness with a hop bite at the finish. Not one I would go out of my way to find, but decent. Rated 7-21-2022

2022 edition. 12oz can (dated 9/15/22) poured into 16oz Willi Becher. No details on hop varietie(s). Poured a clean, clear coppery amber color with less than a half-inch of just off white head that had low retention and no lacing.
Some lightly sweet malts provided the base, and were topped with musty hops that had light floral and citrus aspects. Similar on the tongue, with just a light bit of grapefruit bite on the finish.
The body was medium, mostly smooth, and had a medium-sweet finish. Drinkability was OK, but I shan't be looking for another. Overall, not a particularly notable brew. worth trying for the FH tick, but that's it.

i actually found this quite mild for an ipa, almost drinks more like a pale, with really tempered bitterness and definitely not over the top dry hopped or anything, some malt balance in the mix too, a little more of an old school mix of flavors and textures really, fuller, oily, off dry, real fresh and tasty, but not exactly on the cutting edge. they use simcoe and centennial in this apparently, but its neither bitter citrusy or white pine lumbery, two notes i almost always get from these hops on their own. the beer is brass colored, a little muted in shine but with good head from the can and plenty of bubbles, no sediment or anything. there is a bit of crystal malt sweetness up front here, pulling more of a candied citrus thing out of the hops, and then it goes a little dank weedy later, but the dosage just isnt high enough for the hops to really burst through as wet and distinctive, which is why this is more of a pale to me than an ipa. i did enjoy this with some real fresh and delicious oysters at their tacoma operation, a nice beer with a snack like that, and also an easy way to dip back into the game on a hangover with the bright flavors and low bitterness. a nice smooth drinker, well enough refined, but overall not as special as i hoped it would be.
