Bottle pour at 7 Seas Tacoma
A: Pours nearly black with a frothy khaki head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some spotty lacing.
S: Smooth bourbon, brown sugar, roasty, light char, umami notes, peppery spice, chocolate, and a hint of coffee.
T: Roasty, light char, chocolate, smooth bourbon, brown sugar, umami notes, a touch of coffee and subtle peppery rye spice.
M: A little on the lighter side of full body (if that makes sense), mild carbonation, creamy.
O: This one is... whelming. A lot of the notes I'm looking for in a beer like this are there, but they just don't hit quite right. The best way I can describe it is that it's lacking in depth and intensity. Still plenty drinkable, but not as special as a beer like this should be.
