Served from 64 oz growler
A — Pours a murky dark reddish brown hue into the glass. A Creamy off-white colored head forms but recedes and doesn't leave much behind.
S — Smell is strong and piney with roasted caramel and malt notes, not bad, but a bit acrid and bitter.
T — Malt forward and dominated with chewy malt notes of caramel and bread, a little bit of a piney hop note on the finish.
M — Medium-Full bodied, sticky & lingering finish.
O — OK overall, a bit too hoppy and unbalanced with sweetness.

Nice to taste this at StrangeBrewfest in Port Townsend on this foul year of our lord, 2012. World did not end but this beer did, we were the last to get to try it as far as I know. Typical Winter Warmer/Ale, yummers, especially when cold out, not enough vinter varmers in my book. Brew again and bottle so others less fortunate can get an opp to try this.
