Collaboration with Great Falls Brewing Company

Are you getting those fuzzy fall feelings yet?

Throw on that flannel, breathe in the crisp air, and get ready to go Apple Cider Donut picking because this year’s crop is finally ready for harvest! This rich and malty scotch ale was brewed with the perfect ratio of one, freshly baked apple cider donut from Bishop’s Orchards in every pint. Warm cinnamon notes, cakey doughnut flavor, decadent vanilla, and just a hint of snappy cidery-goodness make this the perfect autumn sipper. Drink it! It's liquid donut magic and we made it with love, just for you, fresh from Little House, Great Falls, and Bishop’s.

dark, silky, almost black. head airy and light with little retention

sweet malt on the nose. notes of cinnamon, apple, and chocolate.

caramelly malt forward, with pungent, sour apple taste (like apple cider vinegar). finishes roasty with slight cinnamon and EtOH bite.

feels a bit thin and watery on the palate

overall: tastes like a thinner brown ale with added some apple cider vinegar. not bad, not great. i do not get any cakey donut at all, no vanilla. only cinnamon I really get is on the nose. I would like it more if it had more cinnamon & vanilla, and tone back on whatever is causing that tangy acidity midway through and thicken it up/smooth it out a bit.

Pours jet fuel black with pulsating tiny bubbles and a toffee froth. , aroma of apple pie, nutmeg, cinnamon , vanilla . Taste is bobbing for apples, caramel sweet. Feels creamy, smooth dry finish, smack smacky! It’s 10/28, perfect fall brew.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, burgundy color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of apple cider, vanilla, cinnamon and other spices. Sweet caramel, apple, vanilla and spicy cinnamon. Tasty and unique!

A: Pours an almost opaque yet still clear dark mahogany in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark cola brown + dark chestnut brown + dark garnet red + amber colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of cinnamon as well as moderate aromas of doughy + biscuit + caramel + lightly toasted malts with moderate amounts of caramel + brown sugar + light fruit (apple) sweetness. Hints of vanilla and earthy hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of of doughy + biscuit + caramel + lightly toasted malts with moderate amounts of caramel + brown sugar + light fruit (apple) sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of cinnamon along with light flavors of vanilla. Finally there are very light flavors of earthy hops which contribute a minimal amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving lingering apple cider donut flavor remaining.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Creamy and smooth with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Drinks pretty easily with a creamy soft mouthfeel and well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and definitely evokes fall memories of eating apple cider donuts.
