Always weird when a keg of Connecticut beer shows up in Northern Nevada, but also the kind of you better check it out vibes I'm here for. I'd call this a nutmeg stout. Revolutionary? I dunno about that.
Pours black. Beige/tan head 1/3". Good appearance. The aroma has the usual roasted malt stout aspect going for it, but a dose of nutmeg will be apparent from here on out. Nutmeg edges out coconut in the aroma. Revolution from the Beatles has a pretty cool intro but it fades much like the memory of that Nike ad campaign with the same tune.
The taste and mouthfeel drink drier than something with coconut would make you think at the outset. Instead of oily, it comes across ashy, roasted malt and nutmeg wins, pervasive throughout. Coconut exists, but its the least prominent adjunct. Coffee slightly ahead of that. Nutmeg for days. Its a pretty decent stout, nice at the end of a day skiing at Mt. Rose.
Corporate ownership of this site says 7.3% abv not 8%.

Poured a dark chocolate with a 2F head in a snifter.
Strong aroma of nutmeg and coffee from by Ashlawn Farms
In Old Saybrook, N.J.
The MF is a little light. As the beer warms up, it works with the flavor profile, and the light MF isn’t noticeable.
Excellent taste- very pronounced- roasted malt , nutmeg and especially coffee.
One of the better coffee stouts I have tasted in a while.
