No canning date (best before 8/24/2024); consumed on 9/18/2023
Pours a thinner jet-brown trending black topped with two fingers of lush, beige foam; solid head retention leaves a finger of creamy froth, substantial collar, and thick, chunky rings of lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aromas of nutty peanut butter open, with a cocoa dusting evolving to hints of malted milk ball as a subtle roast develops for balance.
Taste offers tones of lighter, organically-salted peanut butter against a touch of malt roast, dominating the front of the profile as chocolate creme eases into the back end.
Mouthfeel shows a lighter body and an airy fluff of moderate-full carbonation, spritzing out to flaky crispness over the mid-palate as a silky, deceptive heartiness rounds out the back end and a wispy char is tentative through the finish.
A simple, fun expression of peanut butter comes through, and though a certain artificiality comes into play, the softer, roasty undertones do well enough to compensate.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a dark brown color with a tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is sweet chocolate, caramel, vanilla and peanut butter. Smooth and creamy.

Energy City stouts have been tough to find in my recent journeys but I was able to snag a peanut butter cup in March. The beer has a good body and a hefty amount of roasted peanut flavor. It really embodies that depth you would maybe find at the ballpark and I appreciate the approach. The finish is a bit metallic and I’m wondering if it is a reaction with the cocoa powder. Going back to the roasty notes, the beer would benefit from some additional sweetness to help round out the peanut butter cup stout experience. Looking forward to finding some of their other offerings.

Dark brown and black toned body with a brown collar. Smells stars the peanuts with supporting chocolate and sweet malt. Taste hits the peanut butter really well and fully, it avoids the smokiness that can happen and injects decent sweetness. The chocolate clings on to this powerful stallion, with general malts rounding out. Not complex, but perfect for a pb beer fix. Feel is creamy, smooth, sweet, and lush. Another winner in the series. The wife liked it

Aroma is roasted peanuts, chocolate and dark malts. The flavor is dark malts, roasted peanuts, chocolate, a hint of lactose and an acidic/slightly sour/sweet finish.

16oz can, dated 120619. A foamy khaki head bubbles down to the dark brown stout. Aroma is peanut butter and chocolate as it should be. Flavors - wow - milk chocolate and loads of creamy peanut butter - not much else for complexity, but peanut butter cup - yep nailed it! Full and creamy body, quite smooth, alcohol is very well concealed, modest carbonation with peanut butter riding out the balanced finish. This has the wow factor - the peanut butter is bold, but the chocolate notes back it up and make this a superb beer!
