Thanks to FBarber for sending this in NBS BIF #17.
The poor shows a full commitment to açai bowls. A turban swirl of purple brings forth a tight white foam quickly dissipates to almost clear bubbles. The fruit and fiber are fully evident.
The nose, absolutely burgers with us, saying, and raspberries all over the mellow sweetness that brings the blueberries and bananas.
The flavor follows the nose faithfully with açai and raspberry being upfront. A gentle, smooth banana note following and the most mild, yet creamy, blueberry note on the end. Definitely committed to the concept.
Mouth feels where it comes apart just a little, but not because they didn’t follow through on the concept. It’s just a little too full of the fruit and fiber, resulting in a puffiness that takes it away from the wheelhouse of a Berliner-style Weisse.
