1 June 2020 - Beer #108
Corona Day #81
Acquired from Tavour in a subscription box
Appearance: 4 - a pale yellow-orange. Not much head, but pretty good lacing.
Nose: 4 - pretty light and fruity. Maybe even a little nutty.
Taste: 3 - I get it. It's supposed to taste like a cocktail, and it does. So they definitely nailed what they were trying to accomplish. Perhaps it wasn't the best plan, though. Plenty boozy, modestly sour.
Mouth: 4 - quite thick, despite the appearance. Bubbly for sure.
Overall: 4 - I was concerned I would hate it. The subscription box from Tavour was too good to pass up, and this was probably the dud of the batch. I accept.
Cheers!

16oz can split between a pair of WABL sample glasses. 08/06/19.
Pours clear with no head and a little bit of carbonation. Smell is tart, white wine, citrus.
Taste is champagne, moderate tart, strong white wine, vaguely fruity.
Mouthfeel is fairly thick. Overall...it's OK.

16 oz can from Tavour. Darker orange-gold, small finely beaded head. Tart orange peel, champagne aroma. Mimosas on the money. Taste is heavy on the brut, oranges, light saltiness. 11.5% brings some latent warmth. I would imagine that if you mixed a gose, a hazy IPA and a brut IPA, it would turn out like this.
