Worst beer Ive ever tasted. Or maybe it was the bottom of the keg?
Don't know. But never again.

I am trying to like new styles of beers since all we get around here is hazy new england DIPAS. I like the movie in Bruges so I figured I would try a different type of beer than I am used to. I am glad I did. Nice and sour just like the name. Great stuff.

Red-hued dark amber with a large tan-tinted head that doesn't stick around too long and leaves modest lacing.
Vinegar, wood, black cherry and a touch of smoke in the nose.
Great fruity burst of cherry juice up front that carries all the way into the aftertaste. Almost creamy at times. More of the wood shows mid-palate and it has a nice sour tang to it. Appropriately dry with a mouth-puckering finish.
Medium bodied with borderline fizzy carbonation.
Very tasty. Not quite in the same league as the Belgian classics, but better than most American examples. The carbonation did become too much for me by the bottom of the pint.
