I like sweet beers. Imagine a chocolate cupcake soaked in coffee, and then squeezed. That is this beer. Totally unique. I didn't find the flavors to be unnatural at all. Not a beer that you're going to have more than one of, but very well done.

Pours black with some ash highlighting. Smells strongly of sugar, chocolate, vanilla, and blondies. Taste is a diabetic nightmare, extreme sweetness with chocolate and vanilla, it's as if they just dumped sugar in the beer before serving (without the chemical reaction of course) way too sweet! It completely overwhelms the palate. Feel is sugary, light for style, and sticky, way too sweets, cloys constantly, didn't even feel like beer anymore. Drain pour

Released 3/9/19; drank 4/30/19 @ the Yarchives.

Black appearance.

A violent pour yielded almost no tan head; no lace.

Fresh earth, fudge & mild cream notes in the nose.

Thick, sticky mouthfeel.

Fudge & cream flavors; faint fresh earth notes on the finish. Almost no booze heat.

This was sweet to the point of cloying; I could barely get through 6 oz. Permanent pass.

I forgot to add the ABV, it is 12%

Pours a thick black with pretty much no head. Looks like pretty much pitch black.

A lot of smell to this one. Roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, maybe a little cake batter.

Chocolate seems to dominate up front. There is a sweetness to it that never becomes overdone.

Very smooth and thick, like the style should be.

This is my first beer for what is to me basically a local brewery, and it is one of the best from my area I've tried. Nice mix of flavors, and tastes like a true stout. If this is any indication of the quality of this brewery, I am going to have to make the 40 minute drive over and try more of their beers.
