Butterscotch

I bought a tall boy can of this beer from the brewery whilst there with the Oswego Posse during our annual beer trip. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had butterscotch notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp malt base with butterscotch highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

This beer smells & tastes just like a piece of butterscotch hard candy. They nailed it. It's not a beer I'd drink more than one of in a session, but for the one, it's liquid hard candy, sweetness and all. I scored it high for what it is and what they accomplished in candy like butterscotch flavor. Is it cloying? Yes. Is it very sweet? Yes. I view it as a novelty beer. But one that was successful in being what it's advertised to be.
