pint can pale lager, an ontario tradition now after a week of tooling around the province. it seems like everyone is making one of these, but this one is less adjuncty and a little more crafty tasting than most, with a little sweetness to the blonde brewin the center, but a crisper drier finish, slightly floral and with a little bitterness from the hops, but really drinkable, conventional, and refreshing as they go. pils malt more than pale to me, with the european bready quality that goes great with the hops, and somehow a little more body in this one than a lot of them have, but moved along well by good carbonation and a pretty refreshing can to throw back. nothing particularly remarkable about it, but it drinks easy and hits the mark after a long day. it looks like these guys do some pretty ambitious brews, i am sad to not have had an opportunity to taste any of those, but this is ahead of a lot of its peers, thats for sure. this looks sort of military themed by the packaging, dont know the story there...
