Poured from 330mL can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 6/1/25. This is a strange one - wheat beer with peaches and coffee, fermented with kveik yeast. Wild!
Appearance: an admittedly kind of unappetizing sickly brown color. I mean, of course, there are brown beers, but this one is not immediately particularly appetizing-looking. Head is a thick finger of frothy tan foam.
Smell: peach juice plus a kind of vegetal weirdness that I assume is coming from the coffee. This is honestly one of the absolute oddest combination of aromas I’ve ever encountered in a beer. It’s not … bad. It’s just very odd.
Taste: just extremely weird. The peach and coffee and funk are all there, and they combine to create a flavor of chilies (though not spicy), and, like, just a hint of tartness keeps the sweet and bitter elements balanced. A strange brew indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: to me, this is kind of like the Eraserhead of beers. Profoundly weird, and I’m really enjoying this one, but I feel no need to experience it again. But, hey, full points for creativity!
