Smooth and refreshing. Definitely best cold, gets a little off if it’s been warm.

On tap at Chiocca’s in Richmond, VA.
This one pours a mostly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells slightly sweet and grainy, but not like much else.
This beer went very well with the delicious sandwich at Chiocca’s, but I think that basically anything would have gone well with those sandwiches. I’d want a bit more crispness on the finish, but it’s pleasantly sweet, grainy, and soft, and goes down pretty easily. It’s quite drinkable, with a smooth finish. It feels about average for the cream ale style overall.
This was solid enough, but somewhat forgettable.

This not a bad beer, but not something I would get again. Had it from a can at a hotel bar. Poured into a tall snifter. The beer is a clear yellow color with a brief initial head that faded quickly, very little lacing. Smell and taste of honey and herbs (clover I believe). There is some taste of orange and vanilla. The feel was pretty smooth.

Pours (from a can) with medium sized bubbles; thinning head quickly disappears with minimal lacing.
Look: A deeper gold, almost an orange tint, than a classic cream ale
Taste: Initially smooth, creamy, intentionally under-hopped, but there's still "something" that grabs the middle of the tongue, maybe orange peel?
Feel: soft, but likely side-effects from the flavor profile. Texture is more full bodied than you might expect.
Smell: A cross between a Creamsicle and the day after a frat party. Yeasty, plus the aroma from the ingredients listed on the can - honey, orange peel, milk sugar, and vanilla.
Overall: One is OK, would not want to drink a few. From the description on the can I wanted to love this beer, but I just can't. The 6% ABV plus the sweetness are cloying. If you upped the hops (something I rarely suggest), retaining some citrus, and dropped some of the vanilla and milk sugar you might have something really special. Something like 60-70% this with the remainder a hazy IPA. I'm not saying mix the beer, just create that flavor profile.

An interestingly vanilla-sweet tasting beer though the nose hides the perfume initially.
Clear light golden, fair head.
Nose fairly clean, corn comes easier than the light vanilla note.
Taste mixes corn and vanilla in a weird yet workable way.
Light, appropriately carbonated.
The vanilla aspect is interesting, given it isn’t an ingredient (if the one associate I asked was a good indication). Might be a bit perfumy for some, but I dthink don’t plan on having multiple, anyhow.

Very much in the standard cream ale style but with a nice touch of vanilla and sweetness that made this one a very pleasant surprise. Cream ales aren’t my normal bag but this one was a welcome and tasty change of pace.
