Bought this And ONe IPA two weeks ago in a pint-4-pack, and the date marking on the can is undecipherable. The pour shows unfiltered, and the beer was enjoyed in a tall Pilsner glass.
The And One Double IPA is listed as an imperial which I think is wrong. The finish is very crisp and mouthfeel is what sets this IPA apart from the imperial brews. There is not overwhelming boozy-ness and not evident in the nose. The smell is melon, pine and orange. The look in the glass is hazy when completely poured, showing the true unfiltered quality of this brew. It shows up as hazy light orange in soft lighting. The initial taste is a melon bomb with strong orange and pine notes. On the finish is very crisp on the dry side and some malt does work it's way thru the strong hop bite. I think that is what the brewer intended and does set itself apart from the multiple juice bomb hazys out there. The carbonation holds up over ten minutes with good lacing on the glass. This was a very enjoyable double IPA, and is printed so on the can. I feel it is worth seeking out and enjoying with a good steak or pork dish.
