Got this muled to me by Chad from Bill in Las Vegas. Can mentioned Huell Melon and Mandarina Bavaria hops. One of the new ones I’ve been liking and Huell Melon. First paragraph of the can read, “In honor of National Bike Month, we teamed up with Muscle Powered to create this special brew. A portion of the proceeds will go to Muscle Powered so they can continue their outstanding work!”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled the unmistakable flavor of Huell Melon. Also mixed berry, honeydew melon, strawberry, Mandarina Bavaria, mandarin orange, tangerine, viney green leaf, herbal and grass. Got some earthy malt from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted similar to the nose, maybe boozier. Got Huell Melon, lime, lemon, mixed berry, honeydew melon, strawberry, Mandarina Bavaria, mandarin orange, tangerine, viney green leaf, herbal and grass. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Clean finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was an outstanding pale ale overall. Glad I got to try it. (Overall - 4.00)
