an impressive wild ale here from these guys, thanks to my friends in utah for sharing this weekend! its done with raspberries, not sure where the name here comes from. hazy from the bottle with a soft just lighter than ruby red tone to it, slightly whitewashed looking, but obviously showing the fruit. airy head at average height sits on top. smells way more funky than their blackberry brut which we had in the same session, a way more evolved wild yeast profile drives this, bretty funk, some neat almost lambic-esque medicinal sourness, and maybe a saison yeast in there too, its quite complex to me right off the bat, and the fruit adds some balancing sweetness while also appearing natural as can be, just a hint of strawberry jam with the ripe raspberry to my nose. the flavor is all of this, impressively fruit forward through all of the funkiness, but then also drying and farmy on the back end, great back and forth between the elements. i dont get a ton of flavor from the malt, but it seems simple, earthy, and wheat based. there is a cool juiciness to this, some good pucker but not real vinegar intensity to it, and overall i was pretty stoked on this. seems like these guys are doing some awesome stuff, i love how wild this one is, and it was really fun to get to try a couple of their beers in the same session. looking forward to my next encounter, these guys are on my radar now. this was delicious!

Thanks to Joplamp for this one, from the recent CanCans BIF. 12.7oz bottle (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very dark pink/light red color with 1/2 inch of pink head that had low retention and no lacing.

A nice tartness at the front of the nose, with some gentle berry scent in the background. Fairly similar on the tongue, very good tartness, but the fruit flavor is somewhat subdued.

The body was light and crisp, with a dry finish. Drinkability was very nice, a good refresher on a warm day. Overall, a solid and enjoyable brew that I would certainly have again if it were available to me.

375 ml bottle into goblet glass, no bottle dating (I purchased it on 14-August 2019). Pours hazy/cloudy strawberry pink color. Fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart/sour berries, watermelon, grapes, floral. Taste of tart/slightly sour berries, wheat. Tastes and carbonation linger in the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body. Zero warming alcohol for 7.2%. This is an american wild ale and not an overly sour beer. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
