Very very pale straw, pure white suds on top. Nuanced and interesting beer, soft bready maltiness - very sourdough like. A sharp hay aroma hits first. Fainlty earthy/musty mixed with just a bit of tartness, not sour, more along the lines of a yogurt tartness. Briney. Lingering grainy rye. Clearly rustic, but really very refined from my perspective. I’m not surprised by many beers at this point, but I had to order a second one of these because it was so intriguing and frankly delicious. And that’s not a problem when it’s 3.3% ABV.
