Heirloom Rustic Ales

The pour is stout black with a light beige head that left sparse lacing.
The taste is coffee and cinnamon with some vanilla to round things out. The cinnamon increases as the beer warms.
The feel is different - I expect a certain texture from lactose in the beer and it is not there; there is this carbonation aspect that I am not certain is actually the cinnamon.
OA, I would like to try this on draft sometime just to see how it might be different.

 

World class milk stout...which can be hard to pull off and get right.....

The cold brew and cinnamon kick this up another level.... smells and tastes like cinnamon toast with a touch of dark chocolate mixed in....

Extremely well done....I love this brewery and when I'm done working here will miss it...

Revisit from about 3 years ago. Seems like a different beer everything is more in balance, better body. Nose a little less, but great coffee & cream flavor with a deft addition of cinnamon, a little vanilla as well

Pours an effervescent cola/auburn color with a sliver of sand colored head. Head falls off quickly, some head retention & zero lacing

S: Cinnamon, a touch of coffee,

T: Follows the nose, a little vanilla; the cinnamon is sort of spicy up front. Slight touch of roastyness as this warms, plenty of cinnamon, also some dryness & woody hops. Finishes a little dry with some lactose & vanilla, but mostly cinnamon

MF: Light/medium body, slight carbonation. Carbonation picks up as it warms, body thins

Drinks okay, but nothing too get too excited about. I might've been more excited about the cinnamon if the body wasn't so meh

 

 

 

 

 

 

A "summer breakfast stout" - smooth, malty, sweet, delightful!
