Cousins Ale Works

Large open space with a good sized bar. Tucked in the back of a strip mall. Decent beer selection, with the stouts being the better choice. Don't waste your money on the food. The cook was working hard, but my sandwich was burned on the bottom, the fried pickles were overlooked, with no discernible pickles. Nobody in our party thought the food was good.

 

Fairly limited selection of their own beers, although they also had some guest taps (including a bourbon maple cider that I wish I had tried). The atmosphere was terrific though -- we just stopped by to check it out; they had live music and a lot of room, the place was very busy but they have enough space that it's not crowded, and serve quickly. It's worth mentioning that the have an outside caterer serving a diverse variety of food, nothing fancy, but the hot dogs (with assorted toppings) and mexican-style stuff were all tasty. I probably wouldn't go back just to get a beer, but definitely WILL return for an evening with non-beer nerd friends.

Located on the backside of a strip mall on well-traveled Rte 9, Cousins Ale Works has a spacious open taproom. L-shaped bar on the right hand side seats about 15 to 20 people. There are picnic tables arranged on the left side of the room, and the brew house fills the remainder of the right side passed the bar. Fairly robust crowd. Only 5 beers on tap the 2 I had were somewhat nondiscript. Brewery ha only been opened for about a month, I hope to see a deeper selection in the months to come.
