Light, crisp, hoppy, and really easy drinking. This rendition of the West Coast style took out all the filler malts and stuck with Pilsner Malt only. Massively hopped in both the whirlpool and dry-hopped in the fermenter with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. A beautiful blend of styles that focuses on the wonderful aromas and flavors of hops.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light orange color with a moderate to light white head. SRM of 9. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong and juicy aromas of orange, pineapple, tangerine, some peach sweetness.
Flavor: Moderate flavors of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple with some peach sweetness. Slightly muted. Minimal bitterness. Leans slightly sweet.
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Some oxidation lingers off the end.
Compared to American Solera DIPA is Fun 8/15/22: Pours a lighter, clearer color. Stronger aromas. More peach and tangerine juiciness. Less citrus and pine.
Overall: No canning date, but suspect this one is older. Still drinks pretty well. Slight cardboard oxidation notes, but overall drinks pretty juicy. Some tangerine and peach. Minimal bitterness though. Pretty average overall. (Rating: 3.68)

L: A turbid pour lead me to think this golden hue would turn out hazy, but happy to see it settled out as clear as the pine sap of the PNW. A couple fingers of ivory froth with good retention ultimately vanishes to a flat looking beer with a thin porous cap and a wide lacey band that appears thin and dry on the glass.
S: Cracker malts abound, with a backing of pine resin and mellow orange pith.
T: Follows the nose. Balanced and reasonably simple. Some spicey herbal notes initially.
F: Reasonably malty and heavy for the ABV. Right carbonation to balance.
O: This was pretty standard albeit well executed. It did not reach for insane citrus or bitterness. Instead it well represented the style and reminded me of why I am still a west-coaster at heart.

Clear amber body; fine, gently rising carbonation; thick and frothy white head; sticky with stringy patches and rings of foam clinging to the inside of the glass. Nice aroma; a touch of dankness, a bit of floral notes, and a modicum of pine resin. Fairly clean taste; malty with a respectable hop bitterness; fine toasted grain note; a hint of diacetyl. Medium body; mildly crisp and tingly on the palate; dull sweetness counterbalanced with a light dryness.
More of a malt-forward IPA, almost like a traditional English IPA in some aspects. And I like this because it comes across in simple, easy to approach ways. Balanced and rounded, not too hoppy or bitter yet definitely of an old-school IPA character.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger, slightly off-white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus, dank and lightly piney hops, orange, tangerine, grapefruit and mild pine. Flavor is pale and light biscuit malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, pine and some dankness, especially in the finish. Piney, dank residual bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A solid West Coast style IPA with an flavorful, but not distinctive hop bill. Nice blend of malt. A little laid back for the style, but does leave pleasant lingering hop aftertaste. I'm glad I got this as well as one of their their hazies; this is was just what I want from an IPA.

16oz can served in a big snifter. No date that I see. Probably bought it on Tavour.
Pours a clear medium amber with a smallish head and lots of very fine, very slow carbonation. Smell is a little biscuit and grain, some pine / grapefruit zest.
Taste is moderate grainy sweetness with a fairly strong piney bitter finish. Bitterness builds. Reminds me of an old school not-so-intense west coast IPA, which I think is what they were going for.
Mouthfeel is light and dry. Overall, enjoyable for sure, but not particularly notable.
