2022 vintage; consumed on 11/28/2023
Pours a static, motor-oil murk plodding into the glass with no effervescence nor signs of foam developing whatsoever; a still surface shows mild evidence of particulate and little else.
Aromas of reduced peanut butter meld with rich dark chocolate as a lingering background char establishes; peanut powder tones further edges of bourbon and oak over time; a straightforward and blunt bouquet.
Taste brings massive waves of creamy peanut butter and dark cocoa, with flaked malt char lingering in the distance and a slight bourbon heat prevailing through the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a fuller body with no perceptible carbonation on the palate, leaving little beyond an initial slickness trending creamy before a mild char meets subtle heat on the swallow.
Emulsified peanut butter cup washed in a soft bourbon soak; the opposite of subtle and minimally complex, but a rich, fun peanut butter stout eschewing barrel for pure, adjuncted decadence.

Poured a black body with almost no head although a touch of khaki briefly appeared. The aroma is nutty like peanut butter but not overpowering. Smooth beer, well-hidden ABV, dense, sticky, has a mild peanut butter sweetness and dryness with a subdued chocolate taste so more dry and less sweet (cloying) and moderately dry finish.

As if burnt, this appears black with brown edges and pretty much no head to speak of, though it stains the glass and leaves some clear spotty legs on the glass.
Taste is Nutter Butter--crackers and cookie--with some heat and viscosity under a milk chocolate coating.
Delish.
