Pours a cloudy, not quite hazy, orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with a strong guava note and lighter passion fruit, papaya and lime. Taste is a good balance of light biscuity malt and rather tropical and lighter citrus hops, with strong notes of guava and lime and lighter passion fruit and papaya, as well as a light grassy dankness. Finishes with a light bitterness and some tropical fruit, lime and light dankness lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a pretty typical Sudden Death brew, so pretty meh, to be honest. It's not bad, but it's not great either. As most of their NEIPAs, it kinda lacks the style's signature hazy look and pillowy mouthfeel, while not feeling particularly juicy either despite a decent hoppiness with some nice tropical and citrus notes, although there also is that slightly grassy, chalky aspect to the hops that I've come to associate with Sudden Death.
